How We Work

The bench approach

A few things that shape how work moves through the workshop.

Condition assessed first

Every watch is examined before any work starts. The scope is confirmed with you in writing.

Written notes throughout

Each stage is documented. A condition note accompanies every watch on its return.

One watch at a time

Work proceeds in order. Your piece receives full attention, not partial attention across a crowded bench.

No work without consent

Especially for vintage pieces, any part replacement or refinishing is discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.

Regulated and measured

Mechanical work is checked on a timegrapher. Results are noted so you can compare against future services.

Walk-in welcome

The workshop is on Sukhumvit Road. Drop by during opening hours, or send an enquiry to arrange a convenient time.

Common Questions

Things people ask

How long does a mechanical service take?

Most mechanical services are completed within seven to ten working days. More complex movements, or those requiring sourced parts, may take a little longer — this is discussed with you after the initial assessment.

Do I need to make an appointment to drop off a watch?

Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. If you're bringing in something particularly delicate or have questions to discuss, a quick message beforehand means the right person is available at the bench.

What happens to original parts during a vintage restoration?

Original parts are retained wherever possible and returned to you alongside the watch. If any part is not serviceable, the options are laid out clearly before any action is taken. Nothing is discarded without discussion.

Is a water-resistance test included with every service?

The battery and seal renewal includes a water-resistance check as standard. For mechanical services, a pressure test can be arranged if the case construction supports it — this is noted in the service discussion.

What information should I bring when I drop off my watch?

Any original box, papers, or service history you have is helpful context, though none of it is required. If you know the movement reference or a past service date, that's useful — but we'll carry out our own assessment regardless.

How are prices determined for vintage work?

The rates shown are starting figures. The final cost depends on the condition of the piece and the scope of work agreed. A clear estimate is provided before work proceeds, so there are no surprises at collection.
